Adela Mojica

September 2, 1937 — August 23, 2025

Adela, age 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones and the Word of God. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, she lived a life marked by deep faith, unconditional love, and unwavering service to others.

She was married to her beloved husband, Juan "Johnny" Mojica, for over 30 years, and together they built a life centered on family and faith. She was the proud mother of three sons—Carlos Alexis Diaz, Gilberto "Tito" Diaz, and Jose Ramon "Pito" Diaz—who preceded her in death on June 1st 2025. Adela's family was her greatest joy. Her love for family and God shaped every part of her life, and she poured that love into her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and all who were blessed to know her.

For over 40 years, Adela was a faithful member of New Life Covenant Church, previously known as Palestine Christian Temple, where she served in many ministries. She was known for her dedication to prayer and service, often visiting the sick in hospitals and offering care and encouragement to those in need. Many remember her as a strong woman of faith, respected and admired, with a beautiful soul that touched countless lives.

Abuela’s life was full of cherished moments that reflected her warmth, playfulness, and strength of character. She was a woman who spoke her mind, laughed with joy, prayed with power, and lived her faith with sincerity. She shared her love for God by faithfully taking her family to church and teaching them to walk in faith, prayer, and fasting. She was a guiding light whose example will continue to inspire generations.

She is survived by her beloved sons: Carlos Alexis Diaz, Gilberto Tito Diaz. Her grandchildren: Jade Perez, Evelyn Diaz, Jose R. Diaz Jr., Gilberto Diaz Jr., Angel L. “Pito” Diaz, Carlos Diaz, Adelina Diaz, Marisol Diaz, And her great-grandchildren: Landen Jose Diaz, Jamari Ricks, Delani Marisol Rivera.

Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on in her family and in the hearts of all who knew her.

Her family thanks God for the gift of her life and will forever honor her memory.
